From cold calls to collaboration: harnessing synergies for revolutionary projects
“Finally!” he sighed, barely concealing his irritation.
As if a valve had just been opened, he continued: “It’s been three months since I accepted the invitation to this event. I blocked two hours in my team’s schedule – on a SATURDAY! — And then… no response. From anyone!”
His frustration was as palpable as his relief at finally having someone on the other end of the line. Even though I was a complete stranger who had just taken the initiative to call and listen to him.
Indeed, it was a “cold call,” a term commonly used in the jargon of my former professional life to describe the action of calling a perfect stranger with the aim of future collaboration. Without the thirty years of training for this type of communication, his demeanor had everything to unsettle me. However, I was mostly intrigued: what exactly had happened?
As the founder of a shopping universe anchored in strong values, I was approached by the organizers of a “grand fashion show” bringing together all textile shops as well as hairdressers in the village. They wanted me to participate with the curated selection of high-end second-hand clothing from my project. However, my usual hairstylist, the one who always dazzles with extraordinary hairstyles for my shows, wasn’t on the list of collaborators provided due to his vacation.
Here I am, ready to participate in a fashion show to showcase our models, my boutique, as well as iconic brands such as Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada… all without a hairstylist. The local traditional hairdressers were already completely overwhelmed by requests from other shops, based on longstanding relationships and firmly established habits. Remaining on the list was a relatively new salon, run by a French hairdresser whom nobody in Dudelange seemed to really know… and yet…
My “cold call” on the other end of the line turned out to be one of the most renowned hairstylists in the world! Eric Maurice ! So well-known that his name is a registered trademark. Holder of 31 diplomas, including the most prestigious awards in the world of hairstyling, he travels the world to host high-fashion hair shows. Eric Maurice’s talent as a studio hairstylist is highlighted by his stage creations, where he combines avant-garde hairstyling with haute couture. Moreover, he puts his art to use in training, coaching, image consulting, management, and artistic direction.
I’m on my way!
Immediately abandoning what I was doing, my curiosity led me to an immediate encounter with this iconic figure.
Five minutes later, we were meeting for the first time, gathered in front of a delightful café on the village’s central square, and the connection flowed as if we had known each other for a lifetime. We laughed at our similarities: the same taste in fragrances, the same ideas, the same visions… What a beautiful relationship with a character open to the world, vibrant, and creative!
Without noticing the time passing, we immediately worked on numerous projects, such as my fashion shows, without forgetting about my other hairstylist whom I wish to remain loyal to, and especially our exclusive program. (RE)Naissance, a comprehensive makeover program that goes beyond everything typically associated with this service: personal styling, hairstyling, makeup, perfect outfits for everyday or special occasions, combined with courses on business communication and sales/negotiation techniques., primarily aimed at professional clients as well as individuals seeking a new challenge and wishing to leave nothing to chance.
In our contemporary, highly competitive society, many challenges we face are influenced by our appearance and our ability to communicate. I would even dare to say that everything, truly everything, stems from how we present ourselves and communicate. As much in our personal lives as in our professional lives.
Our brand image is heavily influenced by our skills and our communication – both verbal and visual.
In fact, our outward appearance even constitutes a form of language in its own right! It reveals a lot about our self-esteem and our esteem for our interlocutor. In each new interaction, the first 7 seconds, on average and depending on the context, shape the course of the future relationship and its potential success – or failure. The approach of the team trained as part of this prestigious program is based on our deep conviction that our clients deserve to be fully understood and supported in achieving their deepest aspirations.
Our recipe for success: excellence within our respective teams, open-mindedness in collaboration, flexibility, and a highly individualized service catering to the most discerning individuals.
With (RE)Naissance, integrating taste, style, and communication into their skillset and knowledge base, they leave nothing to chance.
